A flight with chief minister

Blue lights, speeding cars, securing escorts pass by when we stand aside the road. Its the chief minister's vehicle. Everyone on the road looks at the chain of cars very proudly and respectively.
CM may be busy always. To meet him, or talk to him is a difficult task during the time when he possess the position. To make an appointment with the CM we have to spend a lot of time or a lot of days running behind all the procedures.

It was my trip from Delhi to Trivandrum by Air India flight. Plane was via Kochi. At Kochi plane got almost empty. Only a few people from Kochi boarded the plane. The passengers in the flight realised that the flight is getting delayed. After a few minutes a 5 member group entered the plane. Passengers were looking at the group of people very interestingly. I thought it was a celebrity I was also eager to see who it was. It was our respected chief minister of Kerala Mr. Oommen Chandi along with his assistants.

It was a superb scene to see his entry. I was eager to talk to him. My mind said " This is the chance. Go man go.. " When i stood from my seat, an announcement came, "Passengers please be seated & Fasten your seat belt."
My first chance failed. I sat on my seat & fastened my seat belt. After take off, I again stood up from my seat and went near him & talked to the CM. It was a special moment, a rare moment, to see the CM so close to me. I shook hands with him when i greeted him & he was holding my hands while talking. We talked for a few minutes and I went back to my seat wishing him a good journey.

I was so happy that it was for the first time I was talking to a CM. It was like a dream come true. I never expected such a meeting with CM, but I was always eager to meet a CM and it came to end. After 2 days, I saw him on television, It was a press meet of CM. It was very hard for me to believe that my conversation with CM 2 days before was not a dream.

Thank God

4 Strangers in Delhi

4 people from a family went to Delhi, the capital city of India for a 5 day tour from Trivandrum, the southern part of India. Release of their stress from their busy career life was the motivation behind the tour. All the 4 people were highly educated, but they lacked only in 1 thing, "speaking Hindi". Father, Mother & their 2 children were the 4 member family. All 4 were good in reading & writing Hindi even though it was a slow execution. But if they were asked to speak Hindi, they would smile & blabber some Hindi words.

The national language of India is Hindi. So at the capital city of India, the importance of Hindi need not be explained. To ask direction, to ask time, even to ask for food, the language Hindi is needed. By God's grace, a lot of Hindi words were known to them. So with the words & without grammar, they communicated with Delhi. The taxi driver who picked them up from the airport was so simple and humble. Dad talked Hindi better than the other 3. Driver thanked him for talking Hindi. Driver found it difficult for any other language other than Hindi.

The 2 children of the family were compelled to write Hindi language exams during their school time. The compelled learning just made them learn Hindi just to pass the exam but it didn't do any good with the language. Family was thankful to the guest house receptionist who patiently talked to them in English with difficulty. The family went for a walk in the market during evening. The roadside shops & roadside vendors were busy filling up their money boxes with their business.

Bargaining is essential for a road side purchase. That was the next difficulty for the family without the language. There were two options : To buy a thing, bargain and give the price, or give them the price they offer. But the family was happy that, the sellers knew the price in English also.   International language English was learned by everyone. But national language is not learned with so much importance. Its the problem of the Education system.

At night, family members were thirsty & called the room service after a long hesitation of talking Hindi. Finally with a little confidence one of the member called room service & told "Room No : 107, Paani Chahiye.. " Within 2 minutes they brought water to the room. After a long day, all were lying on bed about to sleep. Suddenly they heard a big sound. It was a bang sound.

Delhi is one of the sensitive cities in India. There was 2 chances : May be its a cracker fired during festival at one of the temple or might be something bad. But they hope for a peaceful & a good morning the next day. Not only in Delhi, but all over the world.

And I am one among the 4 member family(Strangers to Delhi) who wrote this as the last activity of that day.

Lights off......

Thank GOD
