Aids Awareness - Does it reach everywhere??

December 1st, 2014:  Every year December 1 is observed as World AIDS Day. This day is not to spread AIDS. Since 1987, this day is designated to spread awareness of AIDS which is caused by HIV infection.

Do these awareness reach the people?? Yes and No, both answers will be there. I appreciate all the awareness which reaches the people in right way as expected. But what we concentrate is on the answer "NO" because, an awareness program should reach, if it does not reach the people, it means awareness is a failure.

I am going to share some of the incidents what I have observed during WORLD AIDS DAY. All the medias, schools and other organisations keep programs on AIDS awareness program and celebrate it in a massive way. Do these programs are done with the true intention of awareness or is this is done for publicity? Most of these functions are done for their own publicity.

Consider a school. During the assembly, as part of doing something as a program, some dramas or skit is done related to AIDS. Red ribbons, or AIDS awareness ribbons are distributed to some, and not to all. I would like to share 2 questions raised by the students seeing the AIDS awareness ribbon pinned on teacher's dress. 1st question was, " Why some teachers are wearing the red ribbons?, Are they AIDS?" The student was asked " Do you know what AIDS is?". " No" The student understood the AIDS as a group or organisation, like blue cross or red cross, where only members pin this ribbon.

2nd question by another student was, " Why all the teachers are wearing AIDS symbol?"
The first thing which was understood was that the student not even knows that the red ribbon is the symbol of AIDS awareness. But he knows what is AIDS. He has knowledge of AIDS, just one line. It spreads during sex.

I am not complaining the students. I strongly raise my voice through this blog against the society & the system through which the student is brought up. In class 9 & 10, The subject biology tells more about reproduction and less about AIDS & HIV. Students knew more than what is taught in class about reproduction. But they don't know nothing about AIDS. The classes must be more detailed for the students and also should concentrate on the AIDS & its awareness.

Next question is with the present government of India. Education Ministry of central government compelled or insisted schools to observe Swatch Bharath on Oct 2nd , Unity day on Oct 31st for Sardar Patel & Children's day celebrations on Nov 14 - Nov 19. Even though the students does not know much about the intention of the program, students participated with good spirit. But why AIDS awareness is not compelled to practice in schools? The celebrations done were for the personalities of the past. But these awareness is strongly required for the personalities of tomorrow.

Just complaining and suggesting through this blog will not complete my duties and responsibilities.
Here I share a link which will give you a basic idea about AIDS & how can you protect from AIDS.
Be Aware of AIDS....

A week without Sunlight

After a year of completing my graduation, I was on a heavy job search. Questions came from everywhere around, about my job.  Finally on a day I saw a company conducting walk-in interview.
I went for attending the interview. Unexpectedly I got the job.
I started working there. After a month shift rotation came, I was put to night shift. First time working at night. I have spent my time over night by playing games, chatting or hearing music, or watching movies. But that was the first time I was about to work seriously at night. Its a bit difficult to be awake at night when its serious work.
Monday I enjoyed my day as I was free at day time. Monday evening I went to work. Shift ended up at 4. I reached my home around 5 am. I could not sleep all of a sudden, but I fell asleep when I just lied on my bed. That was Tuesday morning. I was sleeping the whole day time. I woke up in the evening. It was all dark outside. The darkness has put my room also dark. I lazily took my mobile and i was shocked to see the time. It was 6 pm. I jumped out of the bed and get ready for the office and went to office. This continued till Saturday. Sunday as my parents and my siblings were at home, I could not get a sound sleep due to their noise. I woke up at 1 pm noon. I went outside to see the beautiful sunlight. That was the day I saw the sunlight after a few days gap. Another group of people who won't see the sunlight for days are prisoners.

This was not my exclusive experience. My best buddy at office was also experiencing the same. After relieving from the office, I have never missed the day time.

The Scripts.

My school days and my college life gave me a lot of writing works which was never satisfactory for me, as I was compelled to write for my teachers. The free hours in my academic life had made me write something of my own, from my mind, freely and relaxed. Those were not poems, not essays, not any biography or huge pages of writing. Just some scripts, which may or may not be good ones.

My study time was quickly passed by such scripts, and my studies went in an average level. Then mobile phone came in to my life. The messages were created within 140 letters which was difficult task. My writings which was done in my rough work sheets went to dustbin when days passed.

Sometimes I feel my writings are good, if I feel its bad, I will throw the paper off. Then after a long time I decided to write whatever comes to my mind to a book. Then I thought of writing in blog which helped me to make my writings public. I continued and still doing the same.

Why this post?? What I was coming up to??
I have met a lot of people whose scripts are wasted like what happened to mine. Those people are shy of making their writings public. So I have decided to make such writings publish through my blog. But not gonna fill my blog with those. But gonna make some scripts publish in this blog.

I have seen many writings which went to dustbin. I told those authors not to trash them. But they didn't hear me. But I understood if I take the initiative I can publish. I got some scripts like those. So soon I will be publishing those. Not seeing the beauty of their writings. Just to inspire those writers to write again and again.

Just a way of Inspiration and support.

I will proudly say, "Sachin Tendulkar"

Today all the print & visual media covers the news about Sachin Tendulkar & his retirement. Kolkata is ready for his 199th Test match. After 2 more test matches Sachin Tendulkar known as the God of Cricket will retire from Cricket. When the whole world is ready to give a great farewell to Sachin, he is upset for over the top celebrations. Sachin Tendulkar said " I am not greater than Cricket."

When the whole world & die hard fans worship Sachin as God, & Sachin says he is not greater than cricket, it really makes a question. Cricket or Sachin?  In my life, before I hear the word cricket, I heard the word Sachin Tendulkar. One day when I was a small kid, I sat with my grand father who was watching cricket. I asked him, what was in the TV? He didn't say its cricket. He said, " See Sachin Tendulkar is batting." I could not get that big name first. I asked him again and again and learned the name. Then only he said about cricket and I came to know about it. The only person I knew in cricket at that time was Sachin Tendulkar. I noticed the Indian flag on his helmet everytime when he came to bat.

Sachin Tendulkar appeared in the advertisement of "Boost" and was batting well after drinking it. In the end he said, "Boost is the secret of my energy." Many of the kids might have been inspired by that advertisement I hope. I too was really influenced by that at that time and I was upset if my mom buys anything other than Boost. Even though I was poor in playing cricket, Daily after having a cup of boost I said the same dialogue, " Boost is the secret of my energy." Without the boost and that dialogue my mornings were not energetic.

I started learning about cricket deeply. Even though I don't like watching the match fully, I always loved watching Sachin playing. I still remember the 1998 Sharjah cup. In 1998, I was just 11 years old. At that time, it was really hard for me to resist my sleep after 10pm. But I sat till 1am to see Sachin's batting. When the bowler starts running, I prayed to God for Sachin. During that tournament, I heard the titles "Master Blaster" & "Little master" from the commentators. He was the Man of the match in the finals & Man of the series in that tournament. As the award Sachin got an Opel Astra car which he drove through the ground with all other team members on it. All those moments still live in my memories.

After that I involved in watching cricket and started knowing more about it. When I learned what the batting partnership was, M. Azhar & Tendulkar's partnership was going on. Similarly, I came to know about Sourav Ganguly, Vinod Kambli, and others who all played partnership with Sachin. Otherwise I would not have tried to know about the others. During a match Sachin was hooked leg before wicket by Shane Warne. On that day I learned about LBW. I was really angry with Shane Warne on that day which lasted till my sleep that night. From that match I came to notice the bowlers who bowls to Sachin Tendulkar.

When I missed viewing matches, I eagerly waited for the scoreboard. My eyes searched for Sachin's name in that Scoreboard. One day when I was watching India bowling, Sachin came to bowl. The bored mind of mine was hit outside by his appearance to bowl. On that day I learned, stumping, run out, leg spin & off spin. Sachin broke the wickets of the oppositions with stumping & run out in that match. From that day I concentrated the spin bowling of the great spinners Shane Warne & Anil Kumble. I used to collect and play cricket trump cards during my childhood. And I had a belief that if Sachin's card was with me, success in that game came my may.

Fans call Sachin as God of cricket. Many criticizers are there for this. In my opinion, most of the Cricket was learned by me, relating everything with Sachin. With Sachin as the centre of the Solar system, I learned about the planets, ie., about the cricket. So in my opinion & from my experience Sachin can be called the God of cricket. There is nothing wrong in it.

Till the end of my life if ever I play cricket or talk about cricket, the only word which come to my mind first will be Sachin Tendulkar. And for the question Sachin or Cricket??  I will proudly say.. "Sachin Tendulkar."

Interested Students and Discouraging Teachers

A student can change the world if he is directed correctly. To direct him correctly, he need a good teacher.
A lot of students achieve their goals but on the other hands there are a lot of students who reach somewhere without an aim and decide it as their goal, they think and believe in destiny. Even though destiny plays an important role in our life, reaching the goal with an aim and reaching the goal without an aim makes a lot of differences.
Each and every student has an aim, or an interest. If a student does not have an aim, it is the fault of his/her parents and teachers. Some parents support their children in achieving their aim and interest. But some parents impose their interests to their children and tell them to achieve it. Some may succeed, others fail. Some parents don’t do both. Here I mean discouraging teachers as not only the teachers, but also their parents. Parents are their first teachers.
Some students are there who are lazy and not interested in studying or other activities. It is the duty of the teacher to make him realize the importance of education, the importance of whatever he learns. But many teachers fail to do that. Many teachers work for their own benefits. They need a status and salary. I had come across such teachers in my life. This is not my disrespect to my teachers, but it is the fact & truth.
During my graduation, I've seen teachers who came to class and teach something indifferent, not even able to clear the doubts of the students. They tackle the student’s doubts. Some teachers involve in teaching by preparing well. Students should hats off the hard work of such teachers.
Torturing is another way of discouraging students. Students love to write a general test or participate in general quiz, but they hate academic exams. Why??? The after effects of the academic exams are a kind of torture from teachers, marks, discrimination, involvement of parents etc.  Exams are the most interesting activity for a student if he goes through a well taught class. Some teachers don’t need the student’s concept or student’s way of writing. They need the Xerox of the text books for the exam. Students should be made to write exams with full interest.
A class is not a show-off place for the teachers. This is what a teacher should understand. A teacher should be down to earth while sharing knowledge. If a teacher teaches well, students will have interest to listen, thus by having a well disciplined class. The teachers should first understand that they were a student before becoming a teacher.
Student’s interest in extracurricular activities must be boosted by the parents, as well as the teachers. A teacher teaches a student a lot of portions in one day at school or college. But, if a teacher is taking tuition, she teaches only a few portions per day. Students think that it is because, students can learn perfectly. But if the teacher extends the class, she gets her fees.
Now, come to another way of thought. A teacher teaches the academic portions so quickly covering a lot of portions, giving a lot of work during weekends etc.  but, does a teacher teach like that, if it is a music class or a drawing class or some other?? It is because, if a student gets idea of the activity, he can do it by himself. So the teacher teaches slowly so that the students remain. A student who can learn or work on a heavy load of academics can surely learn the cultural activities so simply.
During my school days, my teacher asked the whole class to write an essay about our educational system. I wrote all the facts and truth in that essay. The teacher after reading it scolded me a lot and took the paper with her. She called my parents and said that the things written in that essay was absolutely true, but she was afraid whether this essay would reach higher staffs, which will end up creating problem for the teacher. If that teacher had said that to me the same thing she said to my parents, it would've been an encouragement to my writing. The day I wrote this essay was the day they had inspection from university. That made teacher more afraid of my essay. But if she would've supported me on that day, even a small good change would  have affected our educational system. But it didn't happened.
Finally, when I end up this writing, I've one more thing to say. “ The interest of a student is the secret of a teacher’s dedication. And teacher’s dedication is the secret of a student’s respect.
There is no age for sharing and getting knowledge. Even a 1 year old kid can teach an old man something. But, the mind set to accept knowledge and share knowledge is important.

Get Knowledge. Share Knowledge. Let’s create a beautiful world…..

Thank God

Duplicate Pen drives...

Hi,

For every quality product, you will get a duplicate one. When some duplicated products works better and also come in cheap rates, those products will surely have demand. And some duplicated products are the worst ones which is just a waste of money which cheats the customer.

In this post I am pointing out the duplicate model of a pen drive.

Location : Karol Bagh Market, Delhi, India.

While I was walking through the Karol Bagh market, I noticed some of street vendors displaying a pack of Kingston pen drive.
The image shows the pendrive that they displayed.

Its written "Kingston", the company name & 64GB the storage space on the body of the pen drive.

Company Name of Pen drive : Kingston
Storage : 64GB
Price : Rs 1000/-
Seller : Street Vendors

Throughout the market a lot of people were buying the pen drive which is at a cheaper rate. I went to them.
I asked them for the bill, they said it was a smuggled product, so it does not have any bill. Even if I rejected to buy, they followed me to make me buy. On bargaining they brought the price of that 64GB pen drive down to Rs 200/-. I understood that there was some fault or cheating in it. Never a 64GB pen drive's cost will come down like this because even a 16GB Pen drive costs around Rs 500 now. But the pen drive was company packed. I decided to buy it. I was sure it was not 64 GB. But I was eager to know what was all behind that pen drive.

I bought it for Rs 200. I came home & opened it.

This is what contains inside the pen drive.

Just a plastic fixed with the body of the pen drive.

Total parts of the pen drive

A duplicate pen drive sold in market, cheating the customers and making a bad name for a branded company. A lot of people are getting cheated like this. I saw people who were buying it for prices varying from Rs 1000 to Rs 2000. The people sell this product in front of the police patrolling inside the market. So there will be no use in registering a complaint.

Money lost is lost. I spend Rs 200 to buy it, thus getting this valuable information and I decided to share this information to prevent you from getting cheated. Please make use of this information.

Please share this information to your friends and create awareness about the cheating, and tell them to buy the original product producing the receipt.

Always Buy Original Products...

Recycle Electric Charge; SAVE ENERGY

Hi all,

I am proud to share before you a small successful experiment done by me with a Mosquito Bat.
This experiment results in saving energy by sharing of energy. A recycle process.

The image is of a mosquito bat.
This bat is used to kill mosquitoes with the electric charge. The bat should be charged before use and it takes  a long time for charging.
When the switch is ON electric charge flows through the mesh of the bat. There are two layers of mesh in this bat. Thick outer layer and Thin Inner layer. Mosquito dies if mosquito touches both the layer at the same time.

But mosquito won't come and sit on the bat. We usually wave the bat to hit the mosquito.
So the time except hitting the mosquito when the switch is ON, will have loss of charge.

My Aim :- Save Energy
This is a simple thing to do and we can save energy.

What I did?
The charge that flows through the mesh when the switch is ON is huge to kill an insect like mosquito. Only a small amount of charge is required to kill a mosquito. So I connected two wires from the mesh to the charging point of the bat. Now the bat can be used for killing mosquito, at the same time the bat gets recharged when the switch is ON. Giving the connection from mesh to charging point reduces the power flowing through mesh but its enough to kill a mosquito.

The photograph below explains the experiment.

I took two wires and here in the picture I connected red wire to the outer layer of the mesh and blue wire to the inner layer of the mesh. Make sure that both wires touch only the respective layers.

This the charging point of the bat. I connected red wire to one point and blue wire to the other.

Now the connection looks like this.

Turn ON the switch and start attacking the mosquito.
Both red light and green light turns on at the same time.
Red light indicated by red arrow states that the charge is flowing through mesh.
Green light indicated by green arrow indicates the bat is getting charged.

This worked for me and I am successfully using this.
Advantage : Charge of the bat is extended by doing this method.

You also can also try this and save energy.

                                      Save ENERGY.

Please share this post if you like.

**NB: Make sure the connections are proper and insulated. Be careful while experimenting.
Bat should be charged again once the power is low, but charge of bat is extended for some more time.

**NB: You can try this at your own risk. I will not be responsible for any damage.

Thank God,

RAM

Those who have that special talent..

We have heard a lot of stories, and we have seen a lot of inventions. We have read about a lot of inventions. But many of the inventions were understood by us through creative stories.

Consider this science,
In a beaker of certain volume, half filled with water, if we put objects with particular mass which are denser than water, into the beaker, then the lower part of the beaker will be occupied by that object and that particular area will be filled by it. So that the water level within the beaker increases, but the quantity of water  remains the same..

Consider another,
An empty closed object with particular area and volume will float in water due to the air contained in it.
Even though water is poured on top of it, the object floats in water.

You feel so irritated by this science. But this science is so simple that we learned this when we were Kinder Garden students.

First one was a thirsty crow found a pot with a little water. So the crow put stones into the pot and water level was increased. The crow drank water happily.

Second one was when the children were sad losing their football inside a hole. Another person came and poured some water into the hole and ball came up.

These are just 2 examples. Like this a lot of knowledge were shared to many little children. Science has more inventions and knowledge to share. Science also has introduced many electronic devices to spread the knowledge. With those inventions everyone can read about the inventions and get knowledge, but to make it understand to others a creativity or a special talent is needed.

Those who have that special talent is known as a good teacher.

Thank God,

A flight with chief minister

Blue lights, speeding cars, securing escorts pass by when we stand aside the road. Its the chief minister's vehicle. Everyone on the road looks at the chain of cars very proudly and respectively.
CM may be busy always. To meet him, or talk to him is a difficult task during the time when he possess the position. To make an appointment with the CM we have to spend a lot of time or a lot of days running behind all the procedures.

It was my trip from Delhi to Trivandrum by Air India flight. Plane was via Kochi. At Kochi plane got almost empty. Only a few people from Kochi boarded the plane. The passengers in the flight realised that the flight is getting delayed. After a few minutes a 5 member group entered the plane. Passengers were looking at the group of people very interestingly. I thought it was a celebrity I was also eager to see who it was. It was our respected chief minister of Kerala Mr. Oommen Chandi along with his assistants.

It was a superb scene to see his entry. I was eager to talk to him. My mind said " This is the chance. Go man go.. " When i stood from my seat, an announcement came, "Passengers please be seated & Fasten your seat belt."
My first chance failed. I sat on my seat & fastened my seat belt. After take off, I again stood up from my seat and went near him & talked to the CM. It was a special moment, a rare moment, to see the CM so close to me. I shook hands with him when i greeted him & he was holding my hands while talking. We talked for a few minutes and I went back to my seat wishing him a good journey.

I was so happy that it was for the first time I was talking to a CM. It was like a dream come true. I never expected such a meeting with CM, but I was always eager to meet a CM and it came to end. After 2 days, I saw him on television, It was a press meet of CM. It was very hard for me to believe that my conversation with CM 2 days before was not a dream.

4 Strangers in Delhi

4 people from a family went to Delhi, the capital city of India for a 5 day tour from Trivandrum, the southern part of India. Release of their stress from their busy career life was the motivation behind the tour. All the 4 people were highly educated, but they lacked only in 1 thing, "speaking Hindi". Father, Mother & their 2 children were the 4 member family. All 4 were good in reading & writing Hindi even though it was a slow execution. But if they were asked to speak Hindi, they would smile & blabber some Hindi words.

The national language of India is Hindi. So at the capital city of India, the importance of Hindi need not be explained. To ask direction, to ask time, even to ask for food, the language Hindi is needed. By God's grace, a lot of Hindi words were known to them. So with the words & without grammar, they communicated with Delhi. The taxi driver who picked them up from the airport was so simple and humble. Dad talked Hindi better than the other 3. Driver thanked him for talking Hindi. Driver found it difficult for any other language other than Hindi.

The 2 children of the family were compelled to write Hindi language exams during their school time. The compelled learning just made them learn Hindi just to pass the exam but it didn't do any good with the language. Family was thankful to the guest house receptionist who patiently talked to them in English with difficulty. The family went for a walk in the market during evening. The roadside shops & roadside vendors were busy filling up their money boxes with their business.

Bargaining is essential for a road side purchase. That was the next difficulty for the family without the language. There were two options : To buy a thing, bargain and give the price, or give them the price they offer. But the family was happy that, the sellers knew the price in English also.   International language English was learned by everyone. But national language is not learned with so much importance. Its the problem of the Education system.

At night, family members were thirsty & called the room service after a long hesitation of talking Hindi. Finally with a little confidence one of the member called room service & told "Room No : 107, Paani Chahiye.. " Within 2 minutes they brought water to the room. After a long day, all were lying on bed about to sleep. Suddenly they heard a big sound. It was a bang sound.

Delhi is one of the sensitive cities in India. There was 2 chances : May be its a cracker fired during festival at one of the temple or might be something bad. But they hope for a peaceful & a good morning the next day. Not only in Delhi, but all over the world.

And I am one among the 4 member family(Strangers to Delhi) who wrote this as the last activity of that day.

Lights off......

Thank GOD
