Interested Students and Discouraging Teachers

A student can change the world if he is directed correctly. To direct him correctly, he need a good teacher.
A lot of students achieve their goals but on the other hands there are a lot of students who reach somewhere without an aim and decide it as their goal, they think and believe in destiny. Even though destiny plays an important role in our life, reaching the goal with an aim and reaching the goal without an aim makes a lot of differences.
Each and every student has an aim, or an interest. If a student does not have an aim, it is the fault of his/her parents and teachers. Some parents support their children in achieving their aim and interest. But some parents impose their interests to their children and tell them to achieve it. Some may succeed, others fail. Some parents don’t do both. Here I mean discouraging teachers as not only the teachers, but also their parents. Parents are their first teachers.
Some students are there who are lazy and not interested in studying or other activities. It is the duty of the teacher to make him realize the importance of education, the importance of whatever he learns. But many teachers fail to do that. Many teachers work for their own benefits. They need a status and salary. I had come across such teachers in my life. This is not my disrespect to my teachers, but it is the fact & truth.
During my graduation, I've seen teachers who came to class and teach something indifferent, not even able to clear the doubts of the students. They tackle the student’s doubts. Some teachers involve in teaching by preparing well. Students should hats off the hard work of such teachers.
Torturing is another way of discouraging students. Students love to write a general test or participate in general quiz, but they hate academic exams. Why??? The after effects of the academic exams are a kind of torture from teachers, marks, discrimination, involvement of parents etc.  Exams are the most interesting activity for a student if he goes through a well taught class. Some teachers don’t need the student’s concept or student’s way of writing. They need the Xerox of the text books for the exam. Students should be made to write exams with full interest.
A class is not a show-off place for the teachers. This is what a teacher should understand. A teacher should be down to earth while sharing knowledge. If a teacher teaches well, students will have interest to listen, thus by having a well disciplined class. The teachers should first understand that they were a student before becoming a teacher.
Student’s interest in extracurricular activities must be boosted by the parents, as well as the teachers. A teacher teaches a student a lot of portions in one day at school or college. But, if a teacher is taking tuition, she teaches only a few portions per day. Students think that it is because, students can learn perfectly. But if the teacher extends the class, she gets her fees.
Now, come to another way of thought. A teacher teaches the academic portions so quickly covering a lot of portions, giving a lot of work during weekends etc.  but, does a teacher teach like that, if it is a music class or a drawing class or some other?? It is because, if a student gets idea of the activity, he can do it by himself. So the teacher teaches slowly so that the students remain. A student who can learn or work on a heavy load of academics can surely learn the cultural activities so simply.
During my school days, my teacher asked the whole class to write an essay about our educational system. I wrote all the facts and truth in that essay. The teacher after reading it scolded me a lot and took the paper with her. She called my parents and said that the things written in that essay was absolutely true, but she was afraid whether this essay would reach higher staffs, which will end up creating problem for the teacher. If that teacher had said that to me the same thing she said to my parents, it would've been an encouragement to my writing. The day I wrote this essay was the day they had inspection from university. That made teacher more afraid of my essay. But if she would've supported me on that day, even a small good change would  have affected our educational system. But it didn't happened.
Finally, when I end up this writing, I've one more thing to say. “ The interest of a student is the secret of a teacher’s dedication. And teacher’s dedication is the secret of a student’s respect.
There is no age for sharing and getting knowledge. Even a 1 year old kid can teach an old man something. But, the mind set to accept knowledge and share knowledge is important.

Get Knowledge. Share Knowledge. Let’s create a beautiful world…..

Thank God
